Ingredients
  

  • For the Biscuits:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk cold
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted, divided
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • For the Garlic Butter Topping:
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley or fresh

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, garlic powder, and salt.
  5. Add Wet Ingredients
  6. Add cold milk and melted butter (reserve 2 tbsp for topping). Stir just until combined—don’t overmix.
  7. Fold in Cheese
  8. Gently fold in shredded cheddar cheese. Dough will be slightly sticky.
  9. Scoop & Bake
  10. Scoop ¼-cup portions onto the baking sheet, spaced evenly. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Prepare Garlic Butter
  12. Mix the reserved melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
  13. Brush & Serve
  14. Brush warm biscuits with garlic butter topping. Serve immediately!
