  • Honey or maple syrup 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh ginger grated 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic minced 1 clove
  • Cornstarch optional 1 teaspoon
  • Water for slurry 2 teaspoons

Method
 

  1. Mix Base Ingredients
  2. In a small saucepan, combine:
  3. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  4. 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  5. 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  6. 1 tsp sesame oil
  7. 1 tsp grated ginger
  8. 1 clove minced garlic
  9. Simmer
  10. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently. Let it simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until aromatic and slightly reduced.
  11. (Optional) Thicken
  12. If a thicker glaze is preferred:
  13. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 2 tsp water to form a slurry.
  14. Add to the simmering sauce while stirring constantly.
  15. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  16. Rest & Serve
  17. Remove from heat and let the sauce sit for about 2 minutes before using. Drizzle over freshly roasted Brussels sprouts and toss to coat.
